Personal best in high jump.

Image result for high jump quotesAthletics is a day of fun sports and games. The point of athletics is having fun and trying hard to be successful in a category. Coming 1st, 2nd and 3rd is a step closer to success and also going to eastern zone, for a challenge.

Do you have a goal that you want to achieve and make your personal best?
Well, today I am going to share with you about how to receive a personal best in high jump. Here is three qualities you may need to think about before attempting high jump.

High jump obviously includes jumping, and there is steps to winning a successful jump. First is your run up. Most people run up from the centre of the bar at 7 - 9 paces. You have to measure your jump and your timing right.

Secondly is your mindset. It’s really easy to make a plan of jumping the 1.95m, 1.98m, 2.01m, 2.04m, but you have to know where your mind sets and where your feet lifts off. So you got to measure your steps and left off.

Thirdly is patience. You have to be patience and do the training to learn what you are doing wrong and think of how to do it right. Patience is the ability suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay.

This may or may not help you in high jump and it will work on different people. Sometimes you need to take games and sports in a fun way and know when to take it serious. :)

End of year reflection

END OF YEAR REFLECTION!

This year as a student of PES, I am proud of the success of things I have conquered, like facing challenges that brought me to my doom (dramatic).

There are many things I will take with me next year, like the keroro's we have had during my time at PES. My personal favorite korero is right place, right time, right attitude. It basically means when you are caught in the wrong place at  the wrong time you have to at least have the right attitude like being respectful.

Three things I hope I do differently next year is firstly finishing off my work when it's scheduled to. Secondly carrying the right attitude every where and not changing. Thirdly hanging around the right people. You can’t hang out with negative people and expect to live a positive life Seek right people to lead yourself in the right path.

Big thanks to the teachers who teached me throughout the years i’ve been there. You guys are so awesome.
Some advice for the year 7’s soon to be year 8’s, if you want to survive and have fun next year don’t play with Mrs Tele’a.

Advice .1. Don’t spend a lot of time out of class.
Advice .2. Surround yourself with people who will accept you for yourself and for nothing else.
Advice .3. Always keep your head down in class and finish your work when it's scheduled to.
Advice .4. Be relentless, Work hard, stay calm, be kind and remain humble.
Advice .5. Know when to muck around and when not to muck around.

Some advice for my friends next year:

  1. Image result for be the best you can quoteDon’t change who you are, and don’t be weird when going up to college.
  2. Take every opportunity that hits you because not everybody gets it.
  3. Take the chances you have and use it in the right time at the right place using the right attitude.

Child tooth decay

WALT: I am able to distinguish between fact and opinion by identifying relevant language features the author has subtly used.

I learned that tooth decay is targeting children at the age of 1 - 13.  Children around the world have been put into hospitalisation to get there teeth removed, also families are being warned to make sure there children have brushed their teeth every morning and before they go to bed.

Tonga's aftermath

Tonga’s aftermath

Tonga climbed the ladder all the way to the world cup semi finals for the first time in history. Tongan fans had followed the Tongan rugby league team since the very beginning.

I have enjoyed watching Tonga’s success because they achieved their personal best in their history. Tonga maybe a small country but they do have hundreds and thousands of fans, who support them all the way and even when we loose the celebration never ends.

Tonga is a proud country where people can be crazy or sensitive. Tonga was always looked down on, but this was Tongas time to rise and show them what Tonga was made of and how crazy the supporters were and/or is now.

Tonga has been one of the most clinical teams of the tournament completing over 80 percent of their sets in the past three games. Throughout the tournament they’ve played for a full 80 minutes and they never given up. This is a really memorable game to remember because it's the first time since the warriors inaugural NRL season 22 years ago, Tonga’s supporters have flooded Mt Smart stadium.

It was a hard loss to take but we were very proud of our Tongan team. This has helped me as a young person to never give up even when things are hard. It’s made me remember where I come from and who I represent.
